Frequently asked questions
What types of events can I book DJ Petr for?
Music is part of every exceptional occasion, which is why I approach each event individually. Most often I provide music and hosting for weddings, corporate parties, birthday celebrations, balls, town festivals and other social events.
I always tailor the programme to the specific occasion and the guests. A wedding needs a different atmosphere than a corporate evening or a family celebration. My aim is not simply to play music, but to create an evening guests will remember for a long time.
In which cities and regions do you work?
I most often perform in Prague and the Central Bohemian Region, but I am happy to travel anywhere in the Czech Republic for the music. Over the years I have hosted and played at weddings, corporate parties and private celebrations in many towns and villages.
If you are planning an event outside Prague, that is no problem at all. I assess every enquiry individually and we arrange all organisational details in advance so everything runs without worry.
Do you bring your own sound system and equipment?
Yes. For most events I arrive with my own professional sound system, lighting and the equipment needed. That means you do not have to arrange a PA hire or chase additional suppliers.
Before every event we go through the venue, guest numbers and the flow of the programme together. Based on that I prepare a technical setup so the music is pleasantly audible for dancing as well as during hosting or ceremonial speeches. My goal is for the technology to work reliably without disturbing the atmosphere of the whole event.
How does booking a date work?
Simply write or call me with the basic details of your event — the date, venue, approximate guest numbers and an idea of how the evening should unfold. If the date is free, I will prepare a no-obligation offer and we will fine-tune the details together.
I believe good collaboration starts with open communication. From the first contact I try to be as available as possible and answer all your questions, so you can feel confident that the musical side of your event is in good hands.
Can I choose my own music or playlist?
Of course. Every event is unique and the music should match your taste and your guests. If you have favourite artists, specific tracks, or songs you definitely do not want played, just tell me in advance.
During the evening I aim to balance your wishes with the atmosphere on the dance floor. Experience helps me build naturally on favourite tracks and keep the floor full without losing the character of the whole event.
Do you take song requests from guests during the evening?
Yes, if the organiser wishes. Song requests often add to a pleasant atmosphere and give guests the feeling they are part of the evening. At the same time I always make sure they fit the agreed style of the event and do not disrupt its flow.
If you prefer music only according to a prepared programme or playlist, I will of course respect that. The organiser always has the final say.
